What if your phone buzzed with a commission notification while you were sleeping, eating dinner, or watching TV? Not because you were working, but because a video you made three weeks ago is still sending people to a link, and they are buying. That is affiliate marketing. And when you combine it with AI tools that create the content for you, it becomes one of the most powerful income systems a creator can build. Here is how I set it up from scratch: the tools, the links, and the strategy.
I am Jeremy, and this channel is about using AI to build real income streams. Affiliate marketing was one of the first I activated. By video one I had affiliate links live, and by video three I had earned my first commission. Nothing here is theoretical.
The basics, and why AI changes the equation
Affiliate marketing is simple: you recommend a product, someone buys through your link, and you earn a commission. No inventory, no customer service, no product to build. The traditional problem is content. You need videos, blog posts, and social posts, and that takes time.
That is where AI changes things. With tools like HeyGen for video creation, ElevenLabs for voice cloning, and Claude for scripting, one person with one laptop can produce affiliate content at a scale that was not possible two years ago. This is not a get-rich-quick system. It is a content compounding system: every video you publish is an asset that can keep earning for months or years.
Step 1: Pick the right programs
Not all affiliate programs are equal, and the wrong choice wastes your production time. Here is what I look for:
- Recurring commissions. Software subscriptions pay every month the customer stays, so one referral can pay for years.
- High-ticket items. A 30 percent commission on a $100 product beats a 5 percent commission on a $20 product every time.
- Products you actually use. Your audience can tell when you recommend something you have never touched.
The programs I run on this channel right now are ElevenLabs and vidIQ, both tools I use in every video. My links are in every description, as natural recommendations rather than awkward sales pitches. To find programs beyond your current tools, look at Commission Junction, ShareASale, and Impact, the three major networks where thousands of brands run affiliate programs.
Step 2: The AI content system
Most affiliate marketers fail because they cannot produce enough content consistently. AI solves that. Here is the exact system I use:
- Keyword research with vidIQ. Find high-intent tutorial keywords around the tool you are promoting. People searching how to use a tool are often actively looking to buy or try it.
- Script with Claude. A full production package in minutes, with natural affiliate mentions built in.
- Video with HeyGen and ElevenLabs. An AI avatar and cloned voice give you a full video without turning on a camera.
- Upload with vidIQ-optimized metadata. Title, description, and tags, all optimized for search before the video goes live.
The whole production cycle runs about two hours, and I can produce affiliate content for multiple programs in a single session.
Step 3: Where to place your links
Placement directly affects what you earn.
- Every video description. Links go in every description, every time. Even when the video is not about that tool, people check descriptions.
- Every video outro. Mention your top one or two tools at the end, briefly and genuinely.
- Dedicated tutorials. These are the highest-converting content I produce. A video teaching people how to use a specific tool converts dramatically better than a passing mention, because tutorial viewers have buyer intent.
- Pinned comments. Pin your top affiliate links on every video.
- Your email list. Include your primary affiliate links naturally in your emails. My welcome sequence already includes my top tools.
Step 4: Track what works
Every affiliate program has a dashboard showing clicks and conversions. Check it weekly, not daily. Daily checking creates anxiety, while weekly checking gives you real data. Look at which videos drive the most clicks, which tools convert best, and which traffic source sends the most buyers. Once you know what works, do more of it. If a tutorial converts well, make a follow-up. If a voice-cloning video drives clicks, make a version for a second audience or language.
That is the compounding effect. Each piece of content builds on the last. In month one you might have three videos earning; by month six, forty. The income does not grow in a straight line. It accelerates.
The complete system
From choosing programs to creating content to tracking results, that is the whole AI affiliate marketing system. Using the links costs you nothing extra and directly supports this channel.
